Latin Dreamers Dance Project (Bhavin & Soonruta) were honoured to be invited to teach and perform at the 3rd edition of Fujairah Latin Festival. This is one of the best festivals we’ve been to in a long time. Right from the venue to the activities involved, it was the perfect combination of fun, education, class and luxury!
We conducted one of our favourite workshops – Bachata Urbana Partnerwork. The students who attended our workshop were extremely enthusiastic to learn new things. Coincidently, the workshop hall was small but we got around 60 participants to attend the class! For us, people of tiny stature, it was a task to demonstrate the steps and teach them. It was an amazing feeling to see everyone get it right at the end of the class!
For us, the highlight of the festival was to interact with dancers and teachers from various parts of the world, including the Middle East, Europe, Asia as well as Cuba. Sharing stories about life, Salsa and travelling was very insightful.
Along with us, all other national and international artists put up shows of what they do best. We saw some high quality performances of Salsa, Mambo, Bachata, Kizomba, Tango, Hip Hop, Contemporary and many more interesting dance styles. According to us, the shows tell us the most about an artist and their hard work. We performed a Salsa routine which was largely very well received.
The participants never slept and the parties never ended! Dancers can get a high from dancing and that is exactly what we saw at Fujairah. The parties started at 11pm and went on till 7am. Yes, people danced till 7am!
It was insane festival where we met amazing people, showcased our hard work and learned a great deal from all the trainers there! Without a doubt one of our favourite events to be at!
